Art Connections is a Chrysalis Arts project that aims to support and promote professional artists, makers and other creative businesses based in York and North Yorkshire.

We primarily support artists and businesses producing contemporary work. We provide a range of services for artists at different stages in their careers, including specialist training and mentoring, networking, advice, information and marketing services.

We promote the work of York and North Yorkshire artists on our online Artists Database, which aims to showcase the quality and diversity of work to be found in the sub region, and to provide a resource for galleries, commissioners, collectors and other art buyers. The Database currently features the work of over 125 artists and makers and is updated regularly.

We also promote artists' work via events such as the North Yorkshire Open Studios which has taken place annually since 2005 and involves over one hundred artists in opening their studios to the public each year.

If you are an artist or are interested in the work of Northern artists, you can join our mailing list and receive a free copy of our bi-monthly E-newsletter.

Artists can also join Artist Link-Up, an online forum which aims to help them network, share information and promote exhibitions and events.
