Angela Knipe has had no formal training but has been making things all her life. She began making textile jewellery because it was a natural progression from collage type greetings cards. She was then published by a succession of card companies and was commissioned to do designs by Nouvelle Image in France, Oxfam and Unicef among others.
Angela has been making and selling jewellery for twelve years. She began selling at Portobello Road, London, and during this time made an exclusive range of brooches for a department store in Tokyo. She was taken up by several London galleries. More recently Angela has concentrated on showing and selling her work in Yorkshire. She has permanent stock in a number of galleries around the county. Her work has also been showed in numerous exhibitions.
Materials mainly used are wool, cotton and felt. The majority of items are either brooches or necklaces. Price range from £16 to £70.
