Sudeshna Chattopadhyay is a painter and her paintings are like pages in her diary through which she negotiates and explores everyday feelings associated with the experiences of motherhood.
She works in oils and acrylics in a playful way until she manages to tease out the image that she is looking for in a piece of work through an additive and subtractive process.
Sudeshna has recently graduated from York St John University with a first class degree in contemporary fine art practice.
Her work is found in many private collections all over the UK.
The scale of Sudeshna’s work varies from very small canvases or boards of 12 x 18cm to larger canvases or boards 80 x 100cm. The price range varies from £50 to £600.
